Works Fine - now August 31, 2010

I only have two devices plugged into the switch - a DVD player and a Roku player. It switches between the two seemlessly. When I also had my cable box connected it wouldn't always switch properly - probably because the cable box and the Roku player are always on. No paperwork came with the device so if there was a way to get all three working together it wasn't something the manufacturer was willing to share.

This switch far surpassed my expectations. I would recomend this to anyone in need of extra HDMI inputs. The automatic switching when a new device is turned on is awesome.

Automatic switching worked for about three minutes then stopped, never to work again. IR Remote switching never worked at all. At this point, only manual switching works. It came with a power adapter / brick, but there is no jack on the unit for it, only an empty hole labeled "5 VDC". The thing is just odd.
HDMI Switch Works Well July 1, 2010

This switch is very easy to set up and works well so far. We have only had it in the system for a couple of days but it does the job we wanted it to. And the price was very inexpensive.

This switch had been working perfectly....when I had just my cable box and the PS3 hooked up to it. The auto-configuration works flawlessly...the picture on the screen excellent.
But....
Then I bought a new Canon 780... camera, which has HD video also. Once I got the camera out of the box, I realized that I had to purchase a special "adapter" hdmi cable to take the signal from the camera's mini-HDMI output to the switch-box's "regular" HDMI Input. So I did. And guess what? It won't work. At first I thought it had to be the cable itself since this box had been performing perfectly. But when I put the cable directly from the camera into the TV's HDMI input, it works FINE. Into the switcher box, no. Into the TV directly, perfect.
What gives? This is a real disappointment. One would think that this box would not have trouble reading mini-HDMI to HDMI cables for cameras as most people have this nowadays.
CanNOT recommend this product at this time.
